Dances with Horses

ASPIRE is getting ready for some great entertainment.  Here they come!  Liberty Acts, Bridless acts, drill teams, fire act, roman riding, and our very own ASPIRE riders.   Please, Please join us on September 24, at 7:00 in McElroy Auditorium for an evening you won't forget.  Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children and $30 for box seats.   Please visit our website at www.danceswithhorses.org for tickets, silent auction items and great fun.

Thunder

Thunder is our little white pony that is a Welsh, Hackney mix.  Thunder just didn't seem to like the arena work.  He loved to be groomed, lead and loved on but just did not seem to adapt to the therapeutic riding.  Thunder has a brand new family now.  The family loves Thunder and he will be well taken care.   We are very sad that Thunder had to leave but happy that he is in a good home.   We wish Thunder well and hope to hear good reports about his progress.  Watch the Cedar Falls Times for an article about Thunder.

Volunteer Highlight

Today I would like to take a moment to highlight one of our volunteers.  Cindy has been very dedicated to helping ASPIRE this year.  It has been an ever changing situation here at the farm.  Cindy has been the stable force to keep us going.  She comes and helps with programming and always helps or attends all of our events.  She has a very pleasing personality and we enjoy her love for the riders and horses.   Her horse Benny has been Horse of the Year and Cindy has been Volunteer of the Year.   What a great opportunity to say Thanks a million Cindy for all you do for ASPIRE.
